As you are probably aware Dr Wozniak has been our Principal Dentist now for 5
years, we all know he is Polish but thought you would like to know some
interesting facts about him!
- He came over to live and work in Bridgnorth in 2005.
- If Dr Wozniak wasn’t a dentist he would have liked to have been a skipper or sailing instructor.
- His favourite food is Indian Curry and traditional Polish Food.
- The music he most likes to listen to is Eric Clapton, Catherine Jenkins, and Katie Melua.
After graduating with a BSc (Hons) in Biomedical Science from Manchester,
he attended the University Of Leeds and qualified as a Dental Therapist in 2011.
He has a keen interest in restorative dentistry and enjoys putting patients at ease
during treatment.
Like a dental hygienist a dental therapist has an important role within our team in promoting
dental health. They can treat adults and children.
Since July 2002, dental therapists have been able to work in all sectors of dentistry including
general dental practice.
Since 1st May 2013 the General Dental Council (GDC) removed regulations which prevent patients
from making direct appointments to see dental hygienists, dental therapists and clinical dental
technicians.
Dental therapy covers the same areas as dental hygiene, but dental therapists can also carry out
direct fillings/restorations along with other procedures on permanent and primary teeth.
