Laura’s Invisalign Diary: Month 10

If you are considering orthodontic treatment, but don’t like the idea of having fixed braces, then Invisalign may be the perfect solution for you.

Laura, one of our current patients, is keeping a diary about her journey to achieving straighter teeth. Read about her Invisalign experience today!

Hi welcome back to my Invisalign blog, yes lockdown has started and unfortunately that means I’m almost definitely not going to have a check-up on how my teeth are doing until lockdown is over and who knows when that will be , good news for me is that I did manage to have the check up last month and I was given all the rest of my sets then ,which means I’m going to not only be able to continue changing the sets but also I am coming close to the end of the journey soon. At the moment, I am on set 20 and this one didn’t hurt my teeth at all , by this I mean that it just feels  a little bit tighter for maybe a few hours and after that it feels fine and you won’t be able to feel a difference . Seeing as I have no school or sport on at the moment, I have barely been taking my Invisaligns out so I’m getting used to them much quicker than before lockdown which does means I can switch sets quicker however I’m trying not to do that so I can make sure my teeth are definitely changing correctly especially as I only have a few more sets to go . As far as how my quarantine has been going things haven’t been so bad, no one i’m close too has been infected luckily and we are all staying safe.

I would also  like to remind you however and just write about how important the green chewing pieces you get are: if you get Invisaligns (and I cannot stress this enough) make sure you chew on the green piece the moment to put them back into your mouth because when I was putting in set 19 it barely fit in my mouth and I spent so long trying to put it in ,but then I remembered about the chewing pieces and they went in perfectly . I also want to tell you not to worry if you loose them because you can just ask for some new  ones and in the long run its better to just get some new ones and make sure the Invisaligns are working perfectly than it is to forget about the chew pieces and have to start the journey all over again with the imprints and completely new sets that you have to remember will take a while to make .

I am happy that I am close to the end of the journey and I don’t think I’ll get used to not having Invisaligns in any more , but you never know something may go wrong and ill have to take some extra ones to fully make  sure my teeth are straight at the end. I hope you are all keeping safe and I wish you all the best during this quarantine .
