Laura’s Invisalign Diary: Month 9

If you are considering orthodontic treatment, but don’t like the idea of having fixed braces, then Invisalign may be the perfect solution for you.

Laura, one of our current patients, is keeping a diary about her journey to achieving straighter teeth. Read about her Invisalign experience today!

Can you believe it has been nine months since I have started this journey – I swear it feels more like nine weeks but at the same time I cant remember the feeling of just not wearing Invisalign’s because they have been such a huge part of my day to day routine. I wear them for at least twenty hours everyday -only taking them out for eating or sport and I’m so used to them in my mouth I think it will definitely be the strangest feeling when I eventually do take them out. This month I went to get a check up just to make sure everything was all right ,if you don’t know what happens during these check-ups you simply get your teeth looked at  to make sure they are straightening out in the right way , making sure your Invisalign’s fit properly ,and get your attachments checked to make sure they haven’t gotten slightly crush to worn down. My attachment are yet to be broken and they are still on well so I didn’t need to get any of them redone or fixed and everything is going well with the way my teeth are changing.

Before I started this journey my teeth were photographed so that when I have finished so that I can get them photographed again and see the difference in them when I finish all the sets. Also in case you were wondering: no , I have not seen the photo since the day it was taken because I want to see at the end the difference. You have to remember that you can’t always tell if they have changed or not because it is quite a slow process so you don’t always realise your teeth are changing. I have however been able to see a difference with my front two teeth just from remembering what they used to look like and I am very happy with the progress my teeth have made . I am on set 17 right now and I will be moving onto my next set in a few days hopefully.
